Elder Flexy 18:3 -email-

We were able to talk to Elder Flexy yesterday for Christmas. In fact, we were able to Skype with him. What an awesomely fun experience. If case you don’t know how this works, when you are a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints you leave your home and family for two years (for men), or 18 months (for women). You work super hard everyday trying to help your brothers and sisters in the world learn about our Savior, Jesus Christ. We only email or send letters the entire time, except Mother’s Day and Christmas, then we get to talk to each other on the phone or Skype. So I haven’t talked to Elder Flexy since last Mother’s Day. Knowing that we will get to talk is the most exciting thing. He looks great and is having a great experience being a servant of our Lord.

this week has been good my new companion is a cool guy his name is elder B. and he is from Malawi and he is really cool. but i will try my best to call or skype not sure yet but i will take care of it don’t worry. But thats great that you had the parties and stuff. well the internet is giving me trouble so i better go love you

this week went by fast we worked hard. we got transfer calls and my new companion is named Elder B. but idk anything about him so i’ll let you know. but i’m glad all is working out for you and i hope your talks on Christmas will be fantastic. Mama, this week has been good we have had lots of success.

we had a drunk baba come to priesthood, it was pretty funny but one of

the other member babas kept him quiet. but it was funny.

4-How often do you feel the spirit in a day? 4.it depends

5-Are you teaching anyone we can pray for? 5.yep N___, F___, Z___.

6-Are you required to contact a certain # of people a week? 6.nope, but we report on investigators found in the week.

7-How do you contact people? Tracting? Street? 7.tracting mostly

8-Are you in a ward or a branch? 8.branch, it is very small probably should be a group.

9-Did you open your Christmas packages? (Alex) if not, don’t till Christmas!! 9.yep, sorry i was out of toothpaste so i opened it.

10-How are we going to talk on Christmas? Skype? 10.hopefully skype, but i’ll let you know.

11-What can we do in our lives to feel ready for the second coming of our Savior? 11.repent and keep strong in the faith and prepare physically.

this week has been good. we are working hard we had an investigator that was supposed to be baptized but he had a run in with some drunk guys the night before and so he had to sort out the stuff with the police. so we will baptize him soon. but ya that was sad… well i’m glad all is well and i hope it continues to be. but life is fine here. just pluggin a long. anyway not much else happening. love you.

this week has been a hard week elder r. got sick and had to stay in for one and a half days. it was bad i’m not good with sitting very much anymore. anyway we were supposed to have a baptism but he bunked it. but it will be soon. i hope all works out with the dog.

From Brett: The weeks just fly. I had to teach about the millennium from gospel principles, and I was concerned that I couldn’t use up all the time. But it worked out that I finished just as the second bell rang. It was just right. In other news Your sister went up to Logan to do baptisms for the dead with her friend Lexie and it snowed a foot while they were there. So Em called me and I took your mom and the truck to Logan. We were supposed to meet them at the McDonald’s but when we got there they were nowhere to be found. Your Ma called Em and she had missed the turnoff to Ogden so she ended up in Hyrum at that McDonald’s. I hate to think how far she would have gone if there wasn’t one in Hyrum. I drove Emily’s car and the girls went with Joy in my truck and we all lived happily ever after. I hope all is well I have to go Love you both, love Dad.

I’m glad your still teaching often it helps you keep your knowledge of the doctrine. wow thats a good story at least she didnt slide in the snow or anything but thats good. well all is well here and we lived happily ever after.

Dear darling sweet wonderful missionaries, 

I am so sorry, I didn’t get a letter off to the two of you this week. This darling and fairly dumb dog has just about put me over the edge. She is so cute, but she came with pooing and peeing problems. So between the daycare kids and her, I have had it, with poo and pee. OK now I have complained, I will tell you she has had about 4 baths this week and is very cute and fluffy right now. I am determined to help her to be a good pet. I will not give up.

this week was pretty good on tuesday Elder R. was sick. must have been something he ate but we worked hard after he got better. on saturday we tracted a new area knocked on fifty houses it was good we are just separating the jokers from those who are serious. but life is good companionship is good. we got transfer news and we are staying the same but next transfer Elder R. is out of here. you bought another dog? well thats cool i like her already she looks scruffy enough for me. i don’t like these short fur dogs. we are teaching a family with a sausage(wiener) dog. its pretty funny every time we come it acts all feisty but then he likes us again.

i’m glad things are getting cooler cause its hotter than hades out here!!!!! but its ok i sweat so much i think i lose a pound a day. but the work is going well. We are trying to work with our recent convert named L. and he is getting exited to work with us. so it will be really good for him. well this week we have been meeting lots of people who only speak zulu so my zulu is getting pretty good. we will continue to work hard. love you

Mama,

this week was pretty tough we had a bunkionaire (meaning a ton of bunks.) but we just got back from a animal drive we a saw lots of zebras, giraffes, buffaloes, wildebeest, couple rhinos and a crocodile. but ya we had fun. sounds like sundays are going well in the ward here church doesn’t take place if we can’t get there. so i think this might be the hottest place i’ve ever been in my life and its humid to so it makes the work very interesting. but we will continue. well for the package i would appreciate a new pair of pants mine are pretty messed up preferably machine wash not dry clean.(they will be working pants so don’t pay to much for them and if i could get some two short sleeve white shirts that would be sweet and stick deodorant and whatever you think would be good. love you
